Bare boat charters - terms & conditions
VAT of 12% is included in the charter rates
Charter rates do not include: Fuel, water, extra linen, mooring fees and extras
The final cleaning is compulsory per charter.
Check-in / Embarkation: 17:00 at the latest on the starting date
Check in/out procedure time is considered to be part of the charter period.
Disembarkation: ending day by 09:00.
Compulsory: The client must return to the registry port in the evening of the day before disembarkation, at 18:00 the latest and may spend the night on board.
Optional Crew services and costs:
Skipper and/or Hostess/Steward upon request, when confirming the reservation.
Skipper: 170€ per day, plus meals - Hostess/ Steward: 170€ per day, plus meals
Payments and Cancellation Policy
In order to secure booking, an advance payment is required to be paid within one week (one-week option) by bank transfer or by credit card. The final payment of the remaining balance is due 45 days prior to the check-in date and the reservation is finalised.
Cancellation Fees
1 to 30 days prior to check-in date: 100% of the total charter price will be charged
31 to 60 days prior to check-in: 50% of the total charter price will be charged
61 days or more prior to check-in: 25% of total charter price will be charged
Reimburse fees will be charged to the client.
No-Show Cancellation: 100% of the charter price, crew fees and any ordered extras are due.
Security Deposit
Depending the boat type booked, a refundable Security Deposit of 2.000-3.000 euro is required upon check-in and will cover any damage or loss of the sailing boat and her equipment during the charter period.
Damage and major breakdown
If any damage has been incurred during the charter period due, the Client shall be entitled and obliged to provide any repair up to the value of EUR 200.00, to be reimbursed to the Client after the redelivery of the yacht to the base. If due to the fault of the Company the returning of the sailboat to the base is required, this will be organised as soon as possible that the yacht can be repaired and prepared for the next charter. The Client will be reimbursed proportionally to the number of lost days. In the event of major damage, loss of the yacht, injury to persons, the Client shall notify the Company and shall strictly adhere to the instructions of the representatives of the Company. If the damage has not been reported to the Company, it shall be considered as fully caused by the Client and therefore due and payable by the client.

Client Liability
The client undertakes:

to comply with the greek law
-
to have all valid original navigation licenses and be capable and competent to sail the yacht, otherwise he/she shall be obliged to accept a skipper provided by the Company.

not to sub-let the yacht to a third Party and carry persons or goods for commercial purposes

not to accept a different number of passengers on board than specified in the Crew list. In case of any changes related to the crew list, the Client must immediately inform the Company and/or the port authorities

to keep the Crew list and the residence registration certificate, along with the yacht’s documentation for the whole duration of the charter
-
to guarantee being jointly liable for all crew members

not to participate in competitions and racing regattas without the prior written consent by the Company
-
not to operate the yacht under the influence of alcohol or drugs
-
to immediately inform the representatives of the Company, according to their instructions, in the event of sea damage or major breakdown as described above
-
to follow the compulsory control intervals of propulsion engine/s during the charter period
-
to take all preventive measures to keep the yacht in the same condition as first delivered to avoid any towing situations
-
the Client shall contract the rescue fee before accepting the assistance in case any towing services are necessary
-
not to leave the port if the expected wind speed is greater than 25 knots, or the port authorities have already issued a prohibition for leaving port
-
to plan carefully the navigation route so that two (2) days before returning to the port of destination, the yacht shall have been located at a distance of approximately 40 NM from the said port
-
not to sail at night without the written consent by the Company
-
to notify the representative of the Company of the exact location, in case of rough weather conditions (gale-force wind), in order to receive any needed assistance or to avoid unnecessary and costly yacht search operations

not to engage in fishing and submarine activities without valid licenses
-
to avoid unnecessary strain on masts, sails and ropes, depending on weather conditions
-
not to embark any pets (dogs, cats, birds, etc.) without prior written consent by the Company
-
to empty holding tanks at the open sea at a minimum distance of one (1) NM from the nearest land

It is important that all persons boarding the yacht (i.e. crew members) are adequately informed of the symptoms of the infection, the proper use of personal protective equipment (mask and gloves) and the general measures to prevent COVID-19 transmission during their holidays and respect all instructions of the GUIDANCE ON THE CHARTERING OF PLEASURE YACHTS WITHOUT PERMANENT CREW IN GREECE DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC document that can be found between the vessel documents
Liability of AEGEOU PLOUS MCPY
AEGEOU PLOUS MCPY shall be obliged to deliver the yacht in good working order, cleaned, disinfected and with fuel and water tanks fully filled up. In case of inability to deliver the booked yacht at the arranged check-in date and time, the Client shall be entitled to requesting refund for a maximum 24-hour delay of an amount equivalent to one day of charter. In case of a delay exceeding 24 hours, an equivalent yacht with similar features will be delivered to the Client.
Should the Client not wish to accept the substitute yacht, but decides to wait for the delivery of the booked yacht, he/she may claim the sum equivalent to the number of days of the yacht being unavailable.
Any liability of THE COMPANY in excess of the charter rate hereunder is excluded.
THE COMPANY shall not be liable for any delay incurred due to Force Majeure or rough weather conditions.

Complaints
The Client shall be entitled to filing complaints only in writing, signed personally and by a Company’s representative on the completion date of the charter. The Client may claim compensation at the time of check-out only with a complaint in writing signed by the Client and a Company’s representative.
If the Client requests cannot be met at the time of check-out, they are to be submitted in writing within a period of 14 days. Otherwise, they shall not be taken into consideration.

Juridiction
Any dispute, which the Parties have not been able to settle amicably, shall be decided in accordance with the Greek Law. The court of jurisdiction is the court in Athens.
